The HCLF (or High Carb Low Fat Whole Foods Plant Based Diet) dietary approach has proven itself over and over again.
It will improve health markers, enable folks to lose weight and keep it off indefinitely while eating plentiful and feeling and looking great.
Eating more plants and less meat and other animal products isn’t only good for us, but also great for the animals (they get to live! 😉 ) and the planet (agriculture is not sustainable, it would ruin our planet earth in short order).
While going full vegan is always preferable in my book, Rusty Moore and I were figuring out a way to bring this lifestyle closer to more and more people in a classic Win Win Win scenario:
The fewer people eat animal products and choose plant based instead, the better for them, for the animals, for the planet.
If you want to go all the way and become Vegan, so much the better!
But … what about those that aren’t ready for that? Don’t want to/feel they can’t, etc?
We had to find a way to bring this amazing Lifestyle closer to the mainstream, make it more accessible, even to those who would NOT go Vegan!
The result is our joint effort: High Carb Fat Loss.
So here’s what we did. We explained the whole thing, we provide empirical evidence (experience, my own and many, MANY other’s), clinical data, explanations on how and why this works and most importantly:
A way to apply this dietary approach to BOTH Vegans and non Vegans!
I am Vegan, since many a day. Before that? Vegetarian, since forever, basically.
But guess what, Rusty isn’t Vegan. Whilst he is a kind-hearted soul who wants to also help animals by making more people eat less of them, he is neither Vegan nor vegetarian.
Yet this diet approach works for him as well as for me. Some small, simple tweaks did the job.
It’s all outlined in the book – my approach, Rusty’s tweaked, non-Vegan version, all the background, recipes, meal plans, you name it.
